2010 might mark the 25th anniversary of the movie trilogy with a lot of killer inventions (hoverboards, time traveling cars, down vests), but there are also a lot of pretty sweet gadgets that got invented this year. Time Magazine’s 50 Best Inventions of 2010 starts with everyone’s favorite fruit branded power tool/tablet (the iPad, duh) and moves through categories like tech, transportation, bioengineering and green energy. We want you to be able to waste as much time at work as possible, so we’re not going to go down the list item by item. Our favorites include: Amtrak’s Beef-Powered Train, Spray-on Clothing, and a piece of software that can detect sarcasm. Do all of these inventions somehow contribute to the rise of Skynet? Probably, but at this point in time we don’t care because we’ll take one of each.
