The IKEA x Teenage Engineering Frekvens Electronics collection perfectly encapsulated the brands’ desires for affordable, fun, funky and infinitely hackable products. Teenage Engineering is taking the hackability aspect of the Frekvens line one stop further than the accessories they already released with IKEA with a whole new collection of accessories that you can 3D print yourself. Want to turn your LED spotlight into a cannon? There’s a file and .pdf instructions for that. What about a 4 x 5 rolling cart filled with lights and subwoofers? They have the plans for that, too. Or, our personal favorites–add a handle and either a cup holder or phone caddy to the incredibly portable speaker. Adding any of these accessories to your Frekven pieces obviously requires you have access to a 3D printer, but even if you don’t know someone with one, most public libraries have them these days.
