As much as we sometimes try to convince ourselves otherwise, we’re not all designers. We know what pixels are, and we like to think that we have the “eye” to make things look good. But there are plenty of people that are way better at layouts, image manipulation and design. [We know this for a fact because we hired one.] Knowing all of those things does not make the Pixel Ruler from UI Stencils any less cool. It’s a bit like the standard stainless ruler we’ve all owned at one point, but the measurements are in pixels. 150ppi scale to be exact. There are also helpful marks for mobile, tablet and widescreen layouts. It’s pretty much a must for any designer, but could also double as a straight edge for the rest of us that don’t have Adobe CS licenses.
