There are plenty of things that work regardless of whether or not they’re standing up, lying on their side or completely flat, but few of them are as useful as the Objekten Dock Tray. Designed to be a combination stand / valet, the Dock Tray is the perfect place for any phone or tablet, but truly excels when used in conjunction with an iPad. Landscape mode works. Portrait mode works. Lying flat as a cover for the valet works, too, and it looks damn good in the process. You’ll have to provide the cable for charging yourself, but this thing could be the nightstand solution for storage and sneaking in those episodes of Breaking Bad / Dexter / Low Winter Sun before bed.
