Can you imagine your bathroom doubling as a walk-in closet? If you can you probably are, or have been, a New Yorker. New Yorkers are resourceful, hey, when your apartment has less floor space than a house on hoarders you have to be. Another example of the resourcefulness of the city that never sleeps is the 2011 Made of New York Furniture Collection. All the pieces are crafted from reclaimed authentic Manhattan timber, and while we often advocate soldering irons, bandsaws and the creation of sawdust, sometimes simplicity is in order and this collection features pieces produced using as little machinery as possible. Ironically, if you live in NYC you probably won’t have room for any of this, for the rest of us however, it’s a way to bring a little bit of The Big Apple into our pads.
