The classic Toyota Landcruiser is an iconic ride that perfectly bridges the gap between the utilitarian and the stylish. This LEGO Ideas submission from Matthew Inman can’t be driven around the outback, won’t transport cargo and would look awfully funny sitting in your driveway… but his 1,700 piece submission is a damn near perfect plastic brick recreation of the original. It has leaf springs. It has the triple windshield wipers. It can be built as left-hand or right-hand drive and in short or extended wheelbases. Even the tan LEGO bricks are almost an identical match to one of the original color schemes. The only thing it’s missing is the zebra stripe pattern on the seats and another 6,000 supporters so LEGO will actually produce it for sale.
