The Hertz Mustang is one of the most iconic muscle cars ever to roll out of a factory and one of Carrol Shelby’s finest pieces of work. You will probably never own one. Sorry. But with a bit of skill, you can bring a little old school cool into your home just like LEGO builder Sariel did. Sariel created this LEGO version of the legendary ride, complete with R/C capabilities. The details are insane. There’s a two-speed transmission, a V8 under the hood, and working lights. The work that went into building it–which is detailed on Seriel’s site–is nothing short of incredible. He had to coat certain LEGO bricks in metallic gold, as the color is not available. He had to make stickers. He even set the engine up so it makes an impressive sound when in motion. Check out some shots and click through to read about this impressive build.
