Cards on the table, we’ve never actually tried this whiskey. It’s whiskey so we know we’re going to like it regardless, but here’s a few other reasons we’re already sold on it. Kings County Distillery is operated out of the Paymaster Building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard (USA! USA! USA!) and is the first licensed whiskey distillery in New York since Prohibition. The moonshine that Kings County creates is infused with the leftover cocoa husks from Mast Brothers Chocolate to create this whiskey that has rich, bittersweet notes of dark chocolate backed by the distinctive corn and cereal notes of the moonshine. To us, that sounds like drinking an alcoholic version of Cocoa Puffs. We’re good with that. It’s also a unique, limited edition production run so hurry up and add to cart before all your friends get wise.
