When we first heard about Jupe, they were focused on the growing concern of lack of hospital room beds with the Jupe Health Designs Mobile Units. That same attention to detail, focus on portability and easy-up shelter construction has transitioned into the Jupe Flat-Pack Shelters you see here. Whether you’re in the middle of a sprawling desert, on a windswept cliff by the sea or your own backyard, Jupe is an easy-to-assemble, go-anywhere, off-grid escape from most of the confines of modern city life. We say “most of” because these 111 square feet dwellings that are built up with an aluminum pole frame and Firesist fabric exterior feature a queen-sized bed, pair of end tables, desk and chair, Baltic birch wood floors, Wi-Fi network, 200 amp hour off-grid battery with solar array and a dimmable LED lighting system. In other words, it’s like a semi-permanent tent built with all the amenities you’d expect from an Airbnb… except you can construct it anywhere. Jupe Flat-Pack Shelters start at around $17k with expected delivery in Spring 2021, but they’re available for pre-order now starting at $99.
