If there were any brand we would task with the design, development and delivery of a new version of an acoustic guitar built with no rules, it would be Fender. The American Acoustatronic Telecaster is that guitar. The brain child of designer Brian Swerdfeger and engineers Tim Shaw and Larry Fishman–along with the rest of the team at Fender–this guitar seamlessly blends the world of acoustic and electric into a package that looks and feels like a traditional Telecaster and is less than two inches thick. It’s easy to play. It feels awesome. It has an incredible sound whether it’s plugged in or not. And as Swerdfeger likes to say “it had to make a really great sound on your lap.” The American Acoustatronic Telecaster comes in five different colors that all have ebony fingerboards, Mod Knobs, a patent-pending Stringed Instrument Resonance System, three pickup systems and an integrated forearm contour. This guitar blew away everyone involved involved in its production, so it’s safe to say it will blow you away, too.
