Inspired by the IKEA idea of “affordable, well-designed products ‘for the many people,'” the Backcountry Hut Company makes turnkey housing solutions with a flat, pre-packed assembly system. In other words, you can finally build a house IKEA style. The modular, easy-to-assemble parts can be customized with different finishes and configurations in sizes ranging from Tiny House to full department getaway for 16–24 people. The basic shell consists of only nine parts (four posts, four beams and a roof) and can be built out as either the Backcountry hut for the outdoors or the Frontcountry hut for personal usage. The Backcountry setup has enough space for a community kitchen on the bottom level and bunk bed sleeping area in the loft. Frontcountry can accommodate a full-size kitchen downstairs with a large sleeping area accessible by stairs. Regardless of how big or tiny you want to build, Backcountry Hut Company structures use FSC certified lumber, 100% recyclable components and a zero-waste philosophy with minimal site imprint.
