If money were no object, we would own everything from Restoration Hardware. Even if that were the case, and especially because it’s not, this desk is still really special. Not special in the “rides a separate bus to school” sense, special in the “I love this kid just a little bit more than the others” sense. And why wouldn’t you love it more? You get to pretend to do work on a desk that looks like the recovered wing from a plane. Each desk is hand built with pieces of aluminum bonded to hardwood with exposed screws (for the military aesthetic). There’s also three black cotton lined shelves for your papers and old gadgets. To complete the office, there’s ample room underneath for even the largest “chair.” Suddenly that IKEA desk doesn’t seem all that special.
