Japan’s Flex Inc. takes late-model Toyotas and makes them look like vintage versions. The Land Cruiser ‘106’ is its best example. It takes the 100 Series from the late ’90s and infuses it with 60 Series (’80s) styling cues. The line of modified vehicles is known as “Renoca”, a combo of “renovation” and “car”. The exterior gets new grilles, circular headlights, amber tinted windows, and our personal favorite, white steel wheels. Owners of the Land Cruiser can have their vehicles “Renoca’d” at the new San Diego, CA outlet. Look for mods for the cult-favorite Tacoma pickup truck to follow. The shop opens this winter.
