D.G. Yuengling & Son is the largest craft brewery in America, and it hasn’t achieved that success by releasing a new beer every month. In fact, in a time of variants, double dry-hopped versions, and one-offs, Yuengling is decidedly set in its limited portfolio ways. For the first time in a long time, that’s changing with the release of Yuengling Golden Pilsner, the first new year-round beer from the Pottsville, Pennsylvania, brewery in 17 years. The light, refreshing pilsner is made with Hallertau and Saaz hops and clocks in a 4.7% ABV. Developed over the course of 18 months, Yuengling is pushing this beer for warm weather consumption. It will hit shelves April 1 in certain areas and expand across Yuengling’s 22-state footprint throughout the year.
