As we’re sure you’re well aware by now, Nick Offerman has a unique way of celebrating the holidays every year. One year, there was the Offerman Yule Log that ran just under an hour. The next year, Offerman sipped on Lagavulin Single Malt for a full hour. And then, Ron Swanson outdid even himself by attending a Blackhawks game in the guise of a statue. If you thought the man that appreciates woodworking, Scotch, steak, more Scotch, public relations stunts, and even more Scotch was done, you’d be dead wrong. The bearded wonder known and spirit animal known as Nick Offerman has finally inked a deal with his character’s favorite Scotch, Lagavulin, for a limited-edition offering whisky that bears his name. That’s right, Lagavulin Offerman Edition Aged 11 Year Scotch is officially a thing and it’s hitting shelves later this year. According to the powers that be, it “carries the signature Lagavulin peatiness but with extra spices and notes of dried fruit to carry the smoke. The whisky offers a full-on tingle from the split second it hits your lips, with pronounced fresh berry character combined with spiciness. Elevated top-notes provide a more direct flavor journey than other Lagavulin expressions.” So yeah, it’s essentially the perfect Scotch for Ron Swanson, his acclaimed creator and anyone else that wants to bask in his glory.
