How to Make the Cubanos from ‘Chef’

How to Make the Cubanos from ‘Chef’

Cubanos were one of our top 3 sandwiches long before we saw Chef, so even we were surprised when the movie made them look better than any we’d seen. The problem was, the movie never lays out a recipe, so even though we know approximately what goes on them, we’d just be guessing when it came to marinades, spices, pickle styles, or really anything that isn’t a slice of ham or roasted pork. Luckily, Binging with Babish understands our plight and took it upon himself to rectify it. In this video, he lays out an easy to follow recipe with less work than we were expecting, albeit one that takes much more time. But the end of the video has him produce a sandwich that looks exactly like Jon Favreau and John Leguizamo’s, guaranteeing that we’re stopping by a butcher tonight to pick up some pork.
