The Top 50 Craft Breweries by Sales Volume

As big breweries gobble up one-time craft breweries, the “craft” landscape continues to change. Who are the biggest craft—or “independent”—players? Well, every year the Brewers Association parses through the data to find the breweries with the most impressive sales numbers who also meet the criteria for the list, meaning they produce 6 million barrels of beer or less a year, are less than 25% owned by a beverage industry member that isn’t craft, and they use a traditional process in the creation of their beer.
