There’s no political slant—just the raw intensity of disarming homemade bombs in a hostile warzone knowing your only mistake will be your last. The Hurt Locker follows a United States Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal, specially a bomb tech named Sergeant James who isn’t driven by a sense of duty, but a hard on for danger and the constant adrenaline rush of disarming bombs. While the film certainly delivers a healthy dose of action and suspense, it’s not about impressive CGI, but chilling reality of war.
