Putting renowned artist Shepard Fairey (Obama “Hope”), Carlo McCormick (senior editor at Paper magazine), and DB Burkeman (DJ) in the same room together is bound to have some interesting consequences. Case in point: Stuck-Up Piece of Crap – otherwise known as Stickers Deluxe: From Punk Rock to Contemporary Art. This hardcover compendium features 4,000 stickers that run the gamut from street art to DIY culture and everything in between. The stickers are organized and categorized by theme and include works from Banksy, Swoon, Jenny Holzer, and a slew of other anonymous taggers. If looking at the art just isn’t “street” enough for you, the deluxe edition includes 23 large, original die-cut stickers (some signed by the artist) so you can feel free to decorate, tag, or otherwise vandalize whatever happens to be within arms reach.
