If you already know about Humans of New York, you can just click the buy link to move on with your day. If you don’t, here’s the deal: Brandon Stanton started Humans of New York (HONY) in the Summer of 2010 as a kind of photographic census of the city. He walks around the city everyday taking pictures of people and talking to them, and then he puts it on his blog. That blog is now officially a book available for purchase. It features 400 full-color photos (75 of which are new) and a distinctive vellum jacket. According to Brandon, “If placed in a prominent location, it is guaranteed to keep Aunt Martha quiet and occupied at Thanksgiving, when she normally drinks five glasses of wine and starts talking shit.” Sounds like a perfect addition to the coffee table.
