There aren’t a ton of modern day rock bands that warrant a candid documentary of their career. You go back a few decades and you could rattle off plenty of them but nowadays can you honestly say you want to sit through two hours on the history of Nickelback or Stone Sour? Of the handful we’d be interested in, Foo Fighters would definitely be near the top. Hey, when you last 16 years and produce a video based on a Mentos commercial you’ve got our attention. Foo Fighters: Back And Forth chronicles the band’s rise from Dave Grohl’s demos (not sure if any Nirvana stuff is mentioned but that would be an added bonus) to the production of their latest album, Wasting Light. As with any real rock band documentary, get the popcorn ready cause it’s gonna be a hell of a story.
