Cinema Speculation by Quentin Tarantino

Cinema Speculation by Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino is known as an immensely talented and respected filmmaker, writer, and artist but above all other titles, he’d probably prefer ‘cinema enthusiast.’ His passion for movies as a medium makes itself clear through his own work and in interviews he has spoken profusely about his ardor for the silver screen. His most recent film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is as clear of a love letter for the Golden Age of moviemaking as one could write. In addition to the movie, Tarantino wrote an accompanying novel that dovetailed with the film itself. Now, Tarantino is trying his hand at his first book of nonfiction with Cinema Speculation.

Cinema Speculation is a work that encompasses film theory, criticism, and journalism as Tarantino works through the American films of the 1970s. While details about which movies will be covered are scarce we can expect that such revered titles as King Kong, The Godfather, The Way of the Dragon, and more to be included. The book is available for pre-order and is expected to publish on October 25th.
