SOLO 01 Portable Housing Concept

SOLO 01 Portable Housing Concept

We’ve seen quite a few ingenious tiny home concepts over the years that take form and function to the next level in small spaces, but nothing quite as exceptional as the SOLO 01 project out of India. Built on the platform of the traditional motorized three-wheeler rickshaw, SOLO 01 is equal parts mobile home, commercial space and luxurious, moving retreat. Yes, that all seems impossible when you consider the base vehicle is nothing more than the traditional motorized rickshaw, and yet, the brand has made it a reality with this concept. As the designers describe on their Instagram, “This ingenious small space design transforms a customized 3 wheeler into a comfy mobile home / commercial space. We’ve maximized the total 6’ x 6’ to give you value that isn’t minimalist but fully utilitarian. The concept is the fruit of research into actual needs; we’ve outwitted complex challenges with simple solutions.” We’d go on safari in one if it ever hits production.
