After the usual back-and-forth between all the console makers, Microsoft has finally unveiled the latest, smallest Xbox ever in the Xbox Series S. While we’re all still debating what other devices informed the styling of each of the upcoming modern consoles–because the Xbox Series X looks like a minifridge or a subwoofer and the latest Playstation looks like a router–there’s no denying the fact that the Microsoft Xbox Series S Console looks like a bespoke, monochrome speaker–and we’re saying that with the most amount of admiration possible. The company’s most compact and affordable console yet, it’s 60% smaller, packed with a 512GB storage SSD, 4K streaming, 4K upscaling, 1440p output at 120fps, ray-tracing and variable-rate shading and refresh. In short, the performance is well above remarkable–especially considering the cost. The Microsoft Xbox Series S Console is expected to be released just in time for the holiday season on November 10th.
