Hot Wheels produces some of our absolute favorite diecast toy model cars. International Watch Company–aka IWC–produces some of our favorite timepieces. Those two favorite brands teamed up for the Hot Wheels x IWC Racing Team Transport Set you see here. This latest set includes a 1:64 scale replica of IWC’s Mercedes 300SL complete with the racing number “68”–which was driven by F1 legend David Coulthard during his Tony Gaze Trophy win during the Goodwood Motor Circuit, for the record–along with a larger transportation truck decked out in similar branding that the car can roll out the back of. “IWC Schaffhausen and Hot Wheels have become industry leaders through generations of craftsmanship and design to create a premium product for our fans,” said Mattel president and COO Richard Dickson. “This partnership celebrates the merging of these two beloved brands by highlighting the detail and performance of both Swiss luxury and American automotive excellence, all in the palm of your hand.” Even without the co-sign from the higher-ups, this is a set we will absolutely be adding to the collection.
