airbonsai

Bonsai culture is huge in Japan, which is what inspired Hoshinchu to create Air Bonsai. The atelier, based on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan, created a unique, DIY floating bonsai setup that kind of reminds us of a much cooler version of the levitating tops we’re all familiar with. Each Air Bonsai uses an “energy base” to levitate and spin the top half “little star,” which is where you transplant your foliage of choice (plants, pines, mosses, etc.). The “little star” is available as a moss ball or a lava rock depending on your desired aesthetic, and there’s even a completely handmade “energy base” if you want something that’s absolutely unique.
