Not content with the fact that all their other fantastic products left a gap in the full-size screwdriver section of your everyday carry, the guys at Big Idea Design spent ten months developing Bit Bar. Bit Bar is a pocket-friendly EDC screwdriver with a full-sized handle designed with a profile similar to a pocket knife that comes standard with eight 1/4″ black oxide hex bits built in to the handle. The magnetic push bar (that doubles as a cap lifter with a few bits removed) holds all the bits securely in place, but also makes it easy to access any of the common sizes when you need them. Each Bit Bar is made with either grade 5 titanium alloy (available in a ceramic tumbled raw finish or a “battle-worn” DLC black finish) or a fiberglass reinforced nylon (commonly used for power tools because of the strength to weight ratio). And since there wasn’t a 1/4″ ratchet on the market that worked for their purposes, Big Idea Design built one of those, too. The standard version includes a Bit Bar, hex bits, 60mm extension and a leather case. The deluxe option adds a three position ratchet with a separate leather case.
