In our opinion, there is almost no greater sense of freedom than what you experience tearing up the open road on two wheels. This is obviously problematic when the ground is covered is covered in snow, but MoonBikes aims to make that sense of open air exploration possible even through the snow with their MoonBikes Stardust Electric Snow Bike. At the most basic level, it’s a snow bike that has the front wheel replaced with a skid and the rear wheel replaced with a tread drive system. In actuality, it’s made with a rear track drive system and front ski paired with a 3 kW motor and one or two 2 kWh batteries for a top speed of around 28mph and range of up to almost 44 miles. There’s no word yet on pricing, but pre-orders are coming soon. One thing’s for sure, this bike is going to be a helluva lot more fun to ride through the snow and sleet than a traditional snowmobile.
