BioLite reinvented the campstove (twice), and rethought camping lights, kettles, and portable solar panels. Now BioLite is turning its eyes towards revolutionizing something that’s pretty static in terms of design—the headlamp. The BioLite HeadLamp functions like its predecessors in that it’s a bright light you wear on your head, but the similarities to previous versions end there. The revolutionary changes are all centered around the 3D SlimFit Construction. Electronics are integrated into the fabric itself with a slim molded housing that creates a flush front that will sit flat on your forehead at all times instead of bouncing around like you’re wearing a Christmas bell. The battery was relocated to the rear of the lamp for better balance, less slippage and a weightless feel. The band itself is made with high-quality, moisture-wicking fabric that keeps you cool and won’t feel like sandpaper. In terms of illumination, the LED outputs 330 lumens in one of four different modes and can easily be pivoted with one hand. Oh yeah, and the entire package weighs only 69 grams.
