Our desks are littered with doohickeys that help us pass the time when work is slow. We’ve got fidget cubes, Orbiters, and lots of other time-wasting tools scattered about. Now, it looks like we need to make space for another, the Mezmoglobe. The hypnotic toy rests on your desk awaiting a spin. When you do spin it, your eyes will become transfixed by the cascading spiral that isn’t really cascading—but try telling that to your brain. Machined from aerospace grade aluminum, each features a rotating basis with an embossed leather layer that allows Mezmoglobe to spin silently for some time. There are a few different colors to choose from, each of which can be had through Kickstarter right now, as the project was funded on its first day.
