White Claw Got a Higher ABV Upgrade With the Surge Editions

White Claw Got a Higher ABV Upgrade With the Surge Editions

From Bud Light Lemonade Seltzer to Bon V!v, and Corona Hard Seltzer to Truly options, there’s no denying that hard seltzers are the current frontier of popular, alcoholic beverages. And yet, none of those previously iconic brands can compare with the dominance that White Claw has on the market. The trusted name in all things boozy and bubbly just rolled out an 8% version of their popular seltzer with the White Claw Surge Edition, available now in Blood Orange or Cranberry. As they tell it through marketing materials, “At 8% alcohol, White Claw Surge is what happens when hard seltzer reaches new heights. With a hint of sweetness from the unmistakable taste of blood orange, this mouth-watering take on your favorite hard seltzer provides a bold surge of refreshment.” We won’t deny that the bold surge of refreshment is definitely there, but we’re much more interested in the 3% increase in alcohol content. White Claw Surge is currently available from national retailers in Blood Orange and Cranberry flavors packaged in a separate 16 ounce can for around three bucks.
