ColdSnap Soft-Serve Ice Cream Maker

ColdSnap Soft-Serve Ice Cream Maker

If the last business options were all “Uber for XXX”, the latest iteration of that is the “Keurig for XXX”, as in pod-based everything. It’s obviously prevalent for coffee, espresso and juice drinks, but there are also options like flatev for tortillas and now, ColdSnap for Frozen Treats. The Keurig-like, counter-top machine converts an energy-drink sized can into a single-serving portion of some of your favorite frozen treat options in 60-90 seconds. You could call it the “Keurig for Ice Cream,” but since it produces soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, iced coffees, smoothies and even frozen cocktails, that seems like a bit of an understatement. While we’re all for on-demand frozen treats–because who wants to make ice cream from scratch–the ColdSnap machine is going to have a lot of convincing to do once it’s actually released in order to justify its space on the counter. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability for either the ColdSnap machine or the individual pods, but it’s expected to drop in the second quarter of 2021.
