If you’ve ever stayed at an Ace Hotel you’ve probably left with more than a few pictures and notes about DIY projects inspired by the decor around you. Megan and Mike Gilger of The Fresh Exchange had a similar experience with the cushy headboards found at the hotels and decided to make their own. If you want to tackle their DIY Ace Hotel Inspired Headboard you’re going to need a bunch of wood, Army canvas, cotton batting and some tools, but they laid out detailed instructions (including wood measurements if you want to have your local hardware store cut it for you) in the project. And yes, once you build this you’re going to want to redecorate the rest of the room you put it in.
