As frequent wearers of Danner boots, we’ll admit we’re a little biased when it comes to their creations. But our love of the brand is based on the same things you look for in a great pair of boots: consistent quality, comfort, durability and an iconic silhouette. Danner’s done quite a few collaborations–like the Danner x Huckberry Vertigo 917 ‘Gold Rush’–over the years, but we’ve never seen anything like the latest collaboration with Japanese menswear brand White Mountaineering. At first glance, it looks like a normal pair of Danner boots from the side. Then you start noticing things like the side zippers, a tongue that folds all the way down, leather toe detailing and the presence of more eyelets because of the fact the boot laces all the way down to the toe. This is a completely new take on the classic Danner boot that doesn’t sacrifice anything that made it a classic in the first place.
