We’re going to take a break from the clever quips and metaphors to talk about something serious for a minute – giving back. When the company Toms started making shoes they instituted a One for One program. Every time someone buys a pair of Toms shoes, a child in need also gets a pair of shoes. One person buys and one person is helped, it’s as simple as that. Now they’re applying that same mentality to eyewear. Toms currently has two different pairs of customizable (you get to choose the frame and tip colors) sunglasses for sale, the aviator style 301s and the wayfarer style 101s. Each time a pair is purchased they’ll help someone in need with medical treatment, prescription glasses or a sight-saving surgery. The only real decision you have to make is how many pairs to buy.
