Gus Petrikas is a designer from London that has a thing for great design, vintage motorsports and Blender 3D. Using the popular modelling program, Petrikas created DRIVE, a watch inspired by enthusiasts and designed for enthusiasts. While the precision machined aluminum unibody case and thick leather strap timepiece is nothing more than a concept at this point, we want it to be real for a number of reasons. DRIVE looks like the intersection of an MB&F Horological Machine idea and something Steve McQueen would request for one of his films. Dual sliding indicators on the face slide from left right in a way that’s predictable but downright different from anything else on the market. Most importantly, with your left or right wrist firmly at the top of the steering wheel, or both wrists at 10 and 2 like you were taught, you’ll always know what time it is—without ever having to take your hands off the wheel.
