Nixon has always been a company that produced watches high on quality, style and cool factor. They might not have been the first to develop a watch inspired by military field instruments, but their new Ranger line proves they have something to add to the conversation. Like most other Nixon offerings, the Ranger is available in a slew of different models and trim levels, ranging from murdered-out black on nylon to a stainless on a full link bracelet. All of the models feature a custom solid stainless case with a crown at 4:00 and a quartz movement, but you get some additional options because the Ranger 45 uses 45mm cases and 24mm straps, while the Ranger series uses 44mm cases, 22mm straps and also has rotating bezels. There’s also a chrono option in case you don’t already have enough choices.
