While we certainly can’t dismiss the fact that these shoes aren’t exactly what we pictured when we thought of Lava Shoes, in this case it’s not a bad thing. This Nike collaboration with renowned menswear guru Steven Alan looks a whole helluva lot better than the steel, iron, gypsy tear boot that we were picturing in our heads. The 100% suede shoe (with nylon accents) looks beautiful, but it’s not skin deep. Anything with the Nike name on it – especially something ripped right from the archives – that is designated “limited” or “collector” is going to be comfortable, eye-catching and good quality. Since these particular shoes don’t tip the scales like other iconic Nikes *cough* Jordans *cough*, you can actually wear them instead of just displaying them on a shelf. They won’t increase your vertical leap by four feet, but they might just help your horizontal tango.
