Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 Sneakers Lace Themselves

Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 Sneakers Lace Themselves
In addition to being another gorgeous Tinker Hatfield release, the recently released Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 has a huge secret in its bag of tricks—adaptive lacing. Essentially, there’s a sensor in the heel that you trigger when you step in that automatically tightens the laces. It’s like that self-lacing pair of Nike Mags from Back to the Future except these shoes will, in theory, be purchasable by end-user Nike+ members. In addition to the self-lacing technology there will be two buttons on the side of the shoe for tightening/loosening so you can get an absolutely perfect fit. The shoes are currently slated for release later this year with a few different colorways, but price and purchase information haven’t been finalized yet.
