Most footwear collaborations involve nothing more than a simple colorway update to an already popular style to be sold at a style house, but the Danner x New Balance “American Pioneer Project” collaboration gets into the DNA of both popular brands. The combination of East coast New Balance and West coast Danner has resulted in two new pairs of shoes, the 585 MiUSA sneakers and a new model of the Danner Light boot. The sneaker gets a high-end upgrade with brown leather, ballistic nylon and crepe sole and will be produced in Maine by New Balance. The new model of the Danner Light boot will be produced in Danner’s Portland factory and features Horween leather, cordura, grey color palette and Vibram outsole. Each pair combines the best of both worlds and will be available starting October 1st.
