There’s no denying the fact that Kurt Cobain has had an impact on culture with everything he did over the years. In addition to the music, films and paintings, Cobain was also a notorious scribbler and journaler with countless sketches, artworks and hand-written designs to his name over the course of his entire life. His daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, has curated a new collection of commemorative clothing and goods dubbed “Kurt Was Here.” The collection includes about twenty different tees, some sweatshirts, a coffee table book and bundles that include limited edition screen printed Spider Baby posters only available in the bundles. A rep from the estate had the following statement about the collection: “We believe that the importance of art is exceedingly potent in today’s social and political climate,” the rep tells Rolling Stone via email, “and that it is the right time to share this collection of Kurt’s work with artists, collectors and fans, allowing them to experience Kurt’s legacy in a new way, and collectively celebrate his lasting impact on the world.” If you’re interested in picking up some of the pieces for yourself, there are exclusives to both Barneys New York and Selfridges, along with quite a few options available from the Kurt Cobain Shop with the button below.
