We’re relatively sure you can find more creative things to use a belt for than simple pant support and their ability to serve as a tourniquet in an emergency situation, but those things aren’t important ninety percent of the time. What is important is the fact that your belt looks good as it elevates your pants above your ass and stems the flow of blood. Leather belts are certainly capable of doing that, but Cliff Cork Belts are better. Using layers of cork (yeah, that cork) laminated into fabric, Cliff makes belts that are more lightweight than leather, available in more colors and are machine washable. $100 might seem like an absurd amount of money to spend on a belt, but you’re really getting two belts for the price of one because each is reversible. Apparently cork is useful for something other than insulating vino from the elements.
