Converse’s iconic Chuck Taylor sneakers have gotten everything from Lunarlon and leather upgrades to updated colorways and even an all-weather boot option in the past year or so, and now Converse Chuck Taylors are finally going Flyknit. For the first time ever, Nike’s lauded Flyknit technology is going to be part of a shoe without the swoosh on the side. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened because Nike owns Converse, but that doesn’t change the impact this is going to have on your footwear game if you’re a fan of Chucks. It’s the same Chuck silhouette that you’ve come to know and love (complete with white sole and Converse badge on the ankle); it’s just been upgraded with contrasting Flyknit and Lunarlon technologies for superior durability, comfort and support. We’ve only seen a black and teal colorway in the hi top option, but it’s a pretty safe bet after the Chuck Taylor All Star x Nike Flyknit launches on April 27 there will be more colors and lo tops.
