The streaming era laid waste to movie box art, leaving us instead with thumbnails and on-demand trailers as gateways to films. To us, this is a shame, because if you lived through the glory days of VHS, those cassette jackets pop in your head any time you think of a specific film. Size? and adidas have teamed up to relive a little of the olden days. The adidas Originals Trimm Star VHS, a Size? exclusive, is inspired by the color palettes found across the boxes that accompanied copies of sporting matches in the late ’70s and ’80s. The slim, low-profile sneaker sports a signature gold foil emblazoned on the sidewall, a gum midsole, and a ghillie lacing system. Of course, the star here is the colorway, which brings back memories of a fuzzy television sets and poor audio, as we tried to follow the action just inches from the screen.
