Is it really all that critical that your average, everyday watch can tell you with absolute certainty what time it is? No one is going to bail on a meeting, or drinks, if you’re 15-45 seconds late. Squarestreet has a new collection of watches called Minuteman that does not display seconds. The eight new watches are split between two face designs, one hand and two hand, which are appropriately named. The one hand version slowly rotates around the face and uses the gap between hours to give you 15 / 30 / 45 minute approximations. Since the two hand version has a hand dedicated to hours, it uses that previously mentioned gap to display precise minutes. Both versions are made with a stainless case, Italian Mazzuchelli acetate and have a date display. They’re available in options ranging from murdered out black to tortoiseshell and croc leather, with some less extreme options like two-tone on NATO in between.
