On the surface, the Beep music device is essentially a cabled version of the Chromecast designed specifically for audio. Granted, it’s a hell of a lot prettier, but that’s the essential purpose behind the device. Hook up Beep to any 3.5mm AUX, RCA or optical input on your speakers and stream music to it with the iOS or Android app. Tap the Beep to start the music; tap it again to stop music. Turn the magnificent looking dial to control the volume, and watch the LED lights give you some additional entertainment. Best of all, since it hooks up directly to your WiFi network you don’t have to worry about the range or quality of Bluetooth audio. And you can sync a bunch together for whole house audio. Right now, it only works with media on your phone or Pandora, but all the other ones are on the way.
