The days of drunkenly opening a wine bottle and leaving chunks of cork floating behind are numbered. In fact, the whole breaking out a corkscrew thing may just be over as well. The Helix Cork, which was unveiled at Vinexpo, lets you simply twist the cork to get it off and put it back on your opened bottle. Since the agglomerated cork is threaded on, it forms a tight seal on your precious Pinot. The idea should placate any wine enthusiasts who were less than happy with those metal screw tops you see on many bottles. It may be a bit until you see the Helix on your next bottle of vino, however, since the cork only works with a bottle that sports a threaded neck for it.
