Ingmar Beer is the greatest name any mother has ever given her son. But Beer is more than just a fantastic surname, he’s a damned artisan. The former airplane mechanic turned his very talented hands, and eyes, to the traditional Alaia surfboards used by the ancient Hawaiians. Individually handcrafted out of paulownia wood that he gets from a dude in Cali, each board is extremely water resistant, finless and ride much faster than their thicker cousins. The boards take about seven days to complete and cost $600+, so plan accordingly. Even if you never ride it, this would look damn good hanging on a wall or leaning up against a vintage automobile.
