Somewhere in a box in your basement is a copy of “The Low-End Theory” from A Tribe Called Quest. If not that, at least the cassette single of “Scenario.” It was one of those albums that had us wondering at the time how many listens it would take to wear out one of these awesome cassette tapes. Then one day while we were fumbling around with the anti-shock on our Discman, the group broke up. In “Beats, Rhymes & Life” you get taken inside the rise and fall of one of the most influential hip hop acts of all time by actor/director Michael Rapaport. Check it out, dust of all that old music from the Tribe and track down the necessary equipment to play it (try Radio Shack circa 1990 or, better yet, just download it all on iTunes).
