NATO watch straps are nothing new. Open any popular menswear site and there’s a 90% chance you’ll end up seeing something about a Rolex, Timex or some Korean knockoff brand being outfitted with a NATO watch strap. As much as we hate trends (on the level of Journey at karaoke), we’d be lying if we didn’t say that it looks good. More importantly, NATO straps are a good way to give your current watch a facelift – without breaking the bank. George Jensen now has a line of straps that don’t stray too far from their intended original purpose of delineating between British Military regiments. You could go to J. Crew and pick up straps in similar patterns for half the cost, but trust us when we tell you they don’t last very long. Jensen’s straps might be pricier, but the color combinations are better, they’re higher quality and they won’t disintegrate after five wears.
